The Co-op Funeralcare Hardship Fund has been set up so we can support you through the coronavirus pandemic. If a family member has died as a result of coronavirus you may be eligible for a grant of £250 from the fund. To apply for a grant please read the information on this page carefully and if you feel you are eligible click on the 'Apply for grant' button.

What is the Co-op Funeralcare Hardship Fund?

The Co-op Members' Coronavirus Fund has been set up to alleviate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. This includes addressing food poverty by supporting FareShare and to help families paying for the funeral if they’re finding it hard to do so. It also includes support for local causes helping their communities in the wake of the crisis.

The Co-op Funeralcare Hardship Fund sits as part of the Co-op Members' Coronavirus Fund.

Who is eligible to apply to the Hardship Fund?

The fund was set up to help support families who are currently experiencing financial hardship and may struggle to pay the funeral costs. If you meet the criteria below, you’re eligible to apply:

How do I know if my application is successful?

You should usually hear if your application has been successful within 2 working days of applying subject to providing the relevant requested documentation.

How do I know if my application is unsuccessful?

If your application is not successful you will be informed in writing via email.
